LANGELLA LEADS ANCHORWOMEN AT
MOUNT HOLYOKE INVITATIONAL

South Hadley, Mass.-The Rhode Island College women’s golf team is currently in 13th place (432) after the first round of the Mount Holyoke Invitational, played at The Orchards Golf Club on Saturday. Williams leads the 14-team tournament with a score 300 after day one of competition.

 

Leading the way for RIC was freshman Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) who is tied for 57th (94), while fellow rookie Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) is in 70th place (105). Freshman Kelsey Hiler (Pascoag, RI) was right behind her in 72nd place (110) and sophomore Mia Pavao (Tyngsboro, MA) is in 79th place (123). Rounding out the golfers for the Anchorwomen was junior Lauryn Burd (Cranston, RI) who sits in 82nd place (179) after 18 holes of competition.

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will tee off for the second round of the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 25.
