ANCHORWOMEN FINISH 12TH
AT MOUNT HOLYOKE INVITATIONAL

South Hadley, Mass.-The Rhode Island College women’s golf team notched a 12th place finish with a two-round total of 861 (432, 429) at the Mount Holyoke Invitational, held at The Orchards Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25. 

 

Williams took home the team title with a score of 601 (300, 301) at the 14-team tournament.

 

Leading the way for RIC was freshman Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA), who finished tied for 59th with a 188 (94, 94). Freshman Kelsey Hiler (Pascoag, RI) was tied for 70th with a two-round total of 214 (110, 104). Fellow rookie Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) notched a 73rd place finish with a 219 (105, 114). Sophomore Mia Pavao (Tyngsboro, MA) recorded a 79th place with a 240 (123, 117), while junior Lauryn Burd (Cranston, RI) finished in 83rd place (179) after playing just one round for the Anchorwomen.

In upcoming action, the Anchormen will host Suffolk in a dual-match at Valley Country Club on Sunday, Oct. 2.
