Providence, R.I.—The Rhode Island College women’s golf team posted a 424-504 victory against Suffolk in a head-to-head matchup played at Valley Country Club on Sunday afternoon.


Leading the way for RIC was freshman Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) who carded a 93, the lowest score on the afternoon for either team. Freshman Kelsey Hiler (Pascoag, RI) notched a 100, while fellow rookie Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) posted a 113 for the Anchorwomen. Junior Lauryn Burd (Cranston, RI) finished with a 118, while sophomore Mia Pavao (Tyngsboro, MA) carded a 124 for RIC.

Freshman Aine Dillon (Dennis, MA) paced Suffolk with a 97, while sophomore Kailee Santos (San Francisco, CA) had a 112 for the Rams. Graduate student Meredith Ball (Nahant, MA) carded a 132, while junior Gena Restiano (Revere, MA) rounded out the golfers for the visitors, finishing the round with a 163.


In upcoming action, the Anchormen will travel to Middlebury College on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8-9.
