RIC FINISHES 14TH AT GEORGE PHINNEY CLASSIC

Middlebury, Vt.-The Rhode Island College women’s golf notched a 14th place at the George Phinney Golf Classic, hosted by Middlebury at the Ralph Myre Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8-9.  The Anchorwomen shot a 858 (436, 422), while Williams captured the team championship with a score of 629 (315, 314).

 

Freshman Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) led the way for RIC and finished in 60th place with a score of 190 (95, 95), while fellow rookie Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) finished in 70th place with a 210 (107, 103). Freshman Kelsey Hiler (Pascoag, RI) carded a 214 (110, 114) and finished in 74th place, while sophomore Mia Pavao (Tyngsboro, MA) rounded out the Anchorwomen golfers, finishing in 83rd place with a 244 (124, 120).

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will take on cross-city rival Johnson & Wales on Saturday, October 15.
