ANCHORWOMEN CLOSE OUT FALL SCHEDULE WITH THIRD PLACE FINISH AT JOHNSON & WALES TRI

Cranston, R.I.--The Rhode Island College women’s golf team recorded a third-place finish at the Johnson & Wales Invitational, played at the Alpine Country Club in on Saturday. The Anchorwomen shot a (452), while Wellesley captured the team title with a (338) over the par 72 course that measures 5,964 yards.

 

Freshman Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) led the way for RIC and finished in seventh place with a (95), while fellow rookie Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) was tied for ninth (102). Freshman Kelsey Hiler (Pascoag, RI) carded a 120 and finished in 15th place, while sophomore Mia Pavao (Tyngsboro, MA) and junior Lauryn Burd (Cranston, RI) rounded out the Anchorwomen golfers, finishing in a tie for 16th place(135).

 

 

 

Team Scores: Wellesley 338, Johnson & Wales 399, Rhode Island College 452.

 

Rhode Island College has now completed the fall portion of the 2016-17 season and will return to action in the Spring of 2017.
