Plymouth, N.H.Sophomore goalkeeper Julia Eaton (Cumberland, RI) made eight saves and junior midfielder Toni Montanaro (Cranston, RI) picked up five ground balls as Rhode Island College fell, 16-0, to Plymouth State in Little East Conference womens lacrosse action on Sunday afternoon.


Plymouth State (8-2, 4-0 LEC) junior attacker Sam Sullivan (Canton, MA) led the way with three goals and one assist for four points in the win. Thirteen different Panthers registered at least one point in the victory. Freshman midfielder Meg McAndrew (South Windsor, CT), junior midfielder Megan Tingley (Natick, MA) and sophomore midfielder Sarah Thompson (Hooksett, NH) each had two goals in the win.

PSU used three different goalkeepers in the win. Senior Meg Brault (South Windsor, CT) played the first half and did not have to make a save to earn the win (8-2).


The Panthers held a 30-3 advantage in shots, led 21-12 in ground balls and also held a 13-4 advantage in draw controls over the Anchorwomen (2-11, 0-5 LEC).


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East Conference play at home against UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, April 25 (6:30 p.m.).
