2016-17 Rhode Island College Women’s Golf
Season Summary

Providence, R.I.-Head Coach Gene St. Pierre’s Anchorwomen had a successful campaign in 2016-17, winning a head-to-head matchup against Suffolk on Oct. 2 and capturing the RIC Invitational on April 9. RIC participated in seven competitions on the season.

 

 

 

Junior Lauryn Burd (Cranston, RI) averaged a score of 144.75 in four competitions on the season. She registered a season-best score of 118 in the Anchorwomen’s, 424-504, win over Suffolk on Oct. 2.

 

Sophomore Mia Pavao (Tyngsboro, MA) averaged a score of 123.57 in five competitions on the year. She shot a season-best score of 117 in the second round of the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sept. 25.

 

Freshman Jean Marie Arnold (Westerly, RI) averaged a score of 106.89 in seven competitions on the season. She carded a season-best round of 97 at the Westfield State Tri-Match on April 23.

 

Freshman Demi Dischert (Bristol, RI) shot a score of 105.00 at the RIC Invitational on April 9.

 

Freshman Kelsey Hiler (Pascoag, RI) recorded a 106.50 average in seven competitions on the season. She shot a season-best round of 99 at Wellesley Tri-Match on Sept. 10.

 

Freshman Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) led the Anchorwomen with a 94.00 average in seven competitions on the year. She registered a season-best round of 89 at the Westfield Tri-Match on April 23. Langella was the medalist in the club’s, 424-504, win over Suffolk on Oct. 2.
