Mandsager and Vongratsavay to Captain
Rhode Island College Women’s Tennis


Providence, RI—Rhode Island College junior Kristin Mandsager (Portsmouth, RI) and senior Donna Vongratsavay (North Providence, RI) will captain the women’s tennis team for the 2002 season.


Mandsager is currently 0-1 (.000) at number five singles and 1-0 (1.000) at number two doubles for 0.5 points. As a sophomore in 2001, Mandsager was 4-1 (.800) in singles and 2-1 (.667) in doubles for 5.0 points on the season.


She is an anthropology major and a 1999 graduate of Portsmouth High School.


Vongratsavay is 1-0 (1.000) at number two singles and 1-0 (1.000) at number one singles for 1.5 points. Vongratsavay is currently fourth with 47.5 career points at RIC. She is tied for sixth with 28 career singles wins and is second with 39 career doubles wins.


She is a secondary education major and a 1999 graduate of North Providence High School.


The Anchorwomen are currently 1-0, having defeated Salve Regina 7-2 on Sept. 10. RIC will play at Newbury College today at 4 p.m.
