Rhode Island College Womenís Lacrosse Update #2

(1-3 Overall; 0-0 in the Little East Conference)

Providence, RI--Head Coach Ryan Angelís team is 1-3 overall and has yet to see action in the Little East Conference. RIC fell to Div. II New Haven, 15-0, in its only action of the week on Apr. 3. RICís scheduled games vs. Nichols on Mar. 31 and vs. Emerson on Apr. 5 were postponed due to inclement weather.

 

Sophomore center Amanda Hutchins (Gilmanton, NH) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has eight goals for eight points, 12 ground balls, two pass interceptions and six draw controls.

 

Freshman attackman Danielle Egan (North Falmouth, MA) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has eight goals for eight points, nine ground balls and seven draw controls.

 

Sophomore attackman Danielle Beaudry (West Greenwich, RI) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has one goal for one point, six ground balls and five draw controls.

 

Freshman attack wing Ashley Cardin (Cumberland, RI) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has three goals for three points, 12 ground balls, and two draw controls.

 

Freshman attack wing Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston, RI) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has one goal and two assists for three points, eight ground balls, and three draw controls. Colagiovanni played the second half of the game vs. New Haven in goal. She owned a 8.00 goals-against average, a .600 save percentage and has made six saves in 30 minutes of action.

 

Sophomore attackman Liz Valeika (Woonsocket, RI) has played in three games, starting all of them. She has one goal and one assist for two points, and one ground ball.

 

Freshman defensive wing Cara Fusco (Foster, RI) has played in three games, starting one of them. She has one assist for one point.

 

Sophomore defensive wing Erin Grant (Coventry, RI) has played in four games, starting all of them. She one assist for one point, 13 ground balls, and three draw controls.

 

Junior center Kim Wells (Granby, CT) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has one ground ball and four draw controls.

 

Freshman defenseman Meghan Lehman (Sunderland, MA) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has four ground balls.

 

Junior goalkeeper Kristin Mandsager (Portsmouth, RI) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has 39 saves, a save percentage of .448, and a goals-against average of 13.71.

 

Freshman attack wing Jessica Maher (Warwick, RI) has played in four games, starting all of them. She has six ground balls.

 

Freshman defensive wing Stephanie Sullivan (Westerly, RI) has played in four games, starting three of them.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will host Bryant College this afternoon, UMass-Dartmouth on Tuesday, Apr. 8, Elms College on Thursday, Apr. 10 and play at Keene State on Saturday, Apr. 12.
