Rhode Island College Women’s Tennis Update #5 |

(7-5 Overall, Third Place at the Little East
Championships) |

Providence, RI-- Head
Coach Kelly Lange’s team is 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the
Little East Conference. The Anchorwomen defeated Salem State, 5-1,
this week before placing third (five teams) at the Little East
Conference Championships, hosted UMass-Boston, with a team score of
13.0 points on Oct. 11-12. Southern Maine won the title with 22.0
points and Plymouth State placed second with 14.0 points, |

Freshman Liz Barrette
(North Providence, RI) is 8-5 (.615) at number one singles and
11-3 (.786) at number one doubles for a total of 13.5 points on the
season. Barrette was eliminated in the semi-final match of the
number one singles flight, but captured the Little East title at
number one doubles. |

Senior Donna
Vongratsavay (North Providence, RI) is 11-3 (.786) at number two
singles and 11-3 (.786) at number one doubles for a total of 16.5
points on the season. Vongratsavay was eliminated in the
championship match of the number two singles flight, but captured
the Little East title at number one doubles. |

Sophomore Meghan
Mooney (Scituate, RI) is 5-4 (.556) at number three singles and
6-5 (.545) at number two doubles for a total of 8.0 points on the
season. Mooney was eliminated in the semi-final match of both the
number three singles and number two doubles flight at the LEC
Championships. |

Junior Samantha Hedden
(Rumford, RI) is 6-6 (.500) at number four singles and 6-7
(.462) at number two doubles for a total of 9.0 points on the
season. Hedden was eliminated in the semi-final match of both the
number four singles and number two doubles flight at the LEC
Championships. |

Junior Kristin
Mandsager (Portsmouth, RI) is 5-8 (.385) at number five singles
and 7-6 (.538) at number three doubles for a total of 8.5 points on
the season. Mandsager was eliminated in the semi-final match of both
the number five singles and number three doubles flight at the LEC
Championships. |

Senior Sara Hebert
(Cumberland, RI) is 4-5 (.444) at number six singles and 5-6
(.455) at number three doubles for a total of 6.5 points on the
season. Hebert lost in the semi-final match of the number three
doubles flight at the LEC Championships. |

Junior Anabela Pereira
(Pawtucket, RI) is 3-3 (.500) at number six singles and 2-2
(.500) at number three doubles for a total of 4.0 points on the
season. Pereira lost in the semi-final match of the number six
singles flight at the LEC Championships. |
