    Sophomore center Jessica Brielmaier (West Greenwich, RI) led four Anchorwomen in double figures with 17 points as Rhode Island College defeated Western Connecticut, 91-66, in Little East Conference Women's Basketball action on Monday evening. The 91 points is a new team-high for the club this season. The win also stopped a 10-game losing streak for the visitors.

The win was the fifth of the season for RIC, equaling the program’s win total from all of last year.

    Sophomore guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) scored a team-high 20 points and added five rebounds and two steals, but it wouldn't be enough as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team suffered a 54-42 setback at Roger Williams on Sunday afternoon. The loss snapped the four-game winning streak to open the 2017-18 campaign for the Anchorwomen.

    Senior guard Jessa Rubera (Newton, MA) scored a team-best 19 points, which included five three pointers, to go along with three rebounds and two steals to lead the Rhode Island College women's basketball team to a 66-55 victory at Bridgewater State on Tuesday evening.  The Anchorwomen are now 4-0 to start the 2017-18 campaign, the best start to a season since the 2009-10 squad that opened the year with a 6-0 mark.

    Sophomore guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) narrowly missed a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds to propel the Rhode Island College women's basketball team to a 47-41 win over Manhattanville in the second round of the Gordon Invitational played at the Bennett Center on Saturday afternoon. The win extends the Anchorwomen's record to 3-0 for the season, marking the first time the team has won their first three contests since the 2009-10 campaign.

    Sophomore guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to lead the Rhode Island College women’s basketball team a 50-44 victory at Salem State in a non-conference contest to open the 2017-18 season on Wednesday evening. The win was the first collegiate victory for Rhode Island College’s first-year Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove.
