Women's Golf Wraps Up Day One Mount Holyoke Invitational

South Hadley, Mass.—Sophomore Megan Mahan (North Providence, RI) shot a 95 to lead the Rhode Island College women's golf team in first round action of the Mount Holyoke Invitational played at The Orchards Golf Club on Saturday. The Anchorwomen are currently in 17th place (17 teams).

THE BASICS
• RIC is currently in 17th place (435). Amherst is currently in first place (313).

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mahan is currently tied for 63rd in the field of 99 golfers.

• RIC junior Kelsey Hinchcliffe (Pascoag, RI) carded a 101 and is currently tied for 76th. Senior Meghan Rocheleau (Warwick, RI) finished the day with a 116 for the Anchorwomen, which was good for a 91st place finish.

• Junior Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) recorded a 123 and is sitting in 92nd place, while freshman Natalie Jepson (Shoreham, NY) is tied for 95th 131).

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete in second round action of the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 23 (9:30 a.m.).
