Women's Golf Defeats Suffolk

Warwick, R.I.--Sophomore Megan Mahan (North Andover, MA) notched a third place finish with a 96 to lead the Rhode Island College women's golf team against Suffolk on Friday afternoon.

THE BASICS
• There were a total of seven golfers in the event that was held at Valley Country Club, a par-72 course that measures 5,636 yards. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC senior Meghan Rocheleau (Warwick, RI) shot a 109 which was good for a fifth place finish. Junior Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) had a sixth place finish after carding a 112.

• Freshman Natalie Jepson (Shoreham, NY) rounded out the RIC golfers and carded a 114 for an seventh place finish.

• Suffolk was led by sophomore Brooke Chapman (Holden, MA), who notched a first place finish with a 92. Junior Aine Dillon (Yarmouth, MA) was second with a 93.

• Senior Tess Adams (Calgary, Alberta) had a fourth place finish with a 103, while sophomore Nicole Antonucci (Belmont, NH) was forced to withdraw after 11 holes for the Rams.

• In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, April 27.
