    Head Coach Timothy Rudd’s women’s cross country team finished the 2017 season with a 33rd place (56 teams) with a team score of 960.0 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 11.

    Rhode Island College held its annual fall sports banquet at the Quonset Point Officer’s Club on Monday evening where each team announced their most valuable player for the 2017 season.

    Freshman Shayna Cousineau (Cranston, RI) registered a 67th place finish (22:49.0) to lead the Rhode Island College women's cross country team to a 33rd place finish (56 teams) at the 2017 New England Div. III Championship, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday.

    Freshman Shayna Cousineau (Cranston, RI) captured the 2017 Little East Conference Individual Championship with a first place finish (19:19.7) to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team to a third place finish (seven teams) at the 2017 Little East Conference Championship, hosted by Keene State on Saturday.

    Freshman Shayna Cousineau (Cranston, RI), the reigning LEC Runner and Rookie of the Week, had another impressive race for the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team on Saturday, leading the Anchorwomen to a second place finish (9 teams) at the 2017 Western New England University Invitational. Cousineau recorded a third place finish (25:47) for RIC.

    Freshman Shayna Cousineau (Cranston, RI) was named the Little East Conference Runner and Rookie of the Week for her performance at the James Earley Invitational on October 7. It marks the second time this season she earned the conference’s rookie of the week honor and the first time she was named the runner of the week.

    Rhode Island College inducted eight new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame at a gala celebration held at the college’s Recreation Center on Saturday, Sept. 30 (6 p.m.). RIC also recognized its 40th Anniversary of Women’s Athletics Teams at the same event.

    Rhode Island College will honor over 100 women to celebrate 40 Years of Women’s Athletics at RIC with a gala celebration held at its Recreation Center on Saturday, Sept. 30 (6 p.m.). RIC will also honor several pioneers in women’s athletics from RIC and the Ocean State. The event will be held in conjunction with RIC’s Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

    The Rhode Island College women’s cross country team opened the 2017 campaign with a 31st place finish (40 teams) at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

    Rhode Island College has named Timothy Rudd as the Coordinator of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country. Rudd, the head women’s cross country and indoor & outdoor track and field coach, will add head men’s cross country coach’s duties to his responsibilities.
