Springfield, Mass.—Senior 165 lbs. Samuel Lindblom (Waterford, CT) was one of four Anchormen to pick up a decision as the Rhode Island College wrestling team lost, 29-11, at Western New England in New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) action on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC fell behind, 11-0, after a technical fall and a pin in the first two matches. Freshman Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, PA) picked up a 3-0 win at 141 lbs. to pull RIC within eight, 11-3.
• A technical fall and a major decision staked the Golden Bears to a 20-3 lead at the midway point.
• Lindblom won his match at 165 lbs., but a WNE decision at 174 lbs. put RIC down, 23-6.
• Freshman Jett Tancsik (Centereach, NY) and junior Daniel Sblendorio (Mountainside, NJ) notched back-to-back decisions at 184 and 197 lbs. to wrap up the victories for the visitors on the night.
• RIC was docked one point for unsportsmanlike conduct.
