Collegeville, Pa.—Freshman 141 lbs. Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, PA) went 4-0 with a pair of pins and two decisions as the Rhode Island College wrestling team went 1-3 at the Ursinus North/South Duals on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS
• The Anchormen defeated Alvernia, 32-22, before falling to Penn College, 34-12, Merchant Marine Academy, 24-21, and the University of Scranton, 22-19. The Anchormen lost two matches in the final bout on the day.

• Junior Daniel Sblendorio (Mountainside, NJ) went 2-0 with a pin and a decision.

• Junior 125 lbs. Brandon Nunez (Far Rockaway, NY) picked up three forfeit wins on the day. Freshman 149 lbs. Ja'mon Van Heyningen (Warwick, RI) went 3-0 with a pin and a pair of forfeits.

"At the risk of being too harsh to the guys on the team, we literally have to man up and learn how to finish matches. We had two teams beat today and allowed them back in. It's unacceptable. We have to grow up very quickly if we want to compete in our region. We create opportunities, but can't seem to finish. I know as this young team grows it will improve, but I am really frustrated with the record we have vs. what we should have."
