Box Score Castleton, Vt.—Senior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) hit a deep, contested three-pointer at the end of regulation, while freshman guard Antonia Corsinetti (Johnston, RI) led the way for the Anchorwomen with 17 points, as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team fell at Castleton, 68-63, in Little East action played at Glenbrook Gym on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen jumped out to a quick, 10-1, start with the help of a pair of Corsinetti treys before a Castleton timeout three minutes into the game.
• RIC held a 10 point, 17-7, lead after the first quarter.
• Castleton clawed back during the second quarter and came within four points of RIC before a sophomore center Willcia McBorrough (Providence, RI) layup and a freshman guard Maci Dorantes (Bristol, CT) three-ball to push the RIC lead to nine points.
• The Anchorwomen extended their lead to 10, 30-20, with 1:51 left in the first half and carried a nine-point, 32-23, lead into the halftime intermission.
• Corsinetti led all scorers in the half with 14. Junior guard Brooke Raiche (Ira, VT) led the Spartans with 12 at the break.
• Castleton controlled the tempo in the third quarter, outscoring the Anchorwomen, 19-11, but RIC held a slight one-point, 43-42, lead heading into the final frame.
• The fourth quarter was back and forth in its entirety. The hosts took their first lead of the day on a senior guard Alexis Quenneville (Orwell, VT) three-pointer with 6:04 remaining.
• Another Corsinetti three evened the score at 50 apiece with 5:48 to play and a senior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) three-ball gave the Anchorwomen a 56-53 lead with 3:10 left to play.
• With eight seconds to play in the game, Quenneville drained a three-pointer to give the hosts a three point advantage, 59-56.
• On the ensuing possession, following a RIC timeout, Gauvin nailed a three at the buzzer to send the game into an extra session.
• Two quick layups by junior guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, MA) gave RIC a four-point, 63-59, lead, but the hosts quickly erased the deficit with two Raiche layups to tie the score at 63 apiece.
• CU gained the lead on a freshman guard Elise Magro (Rutland, VT) jumper with 1:04 to play in overtime, which would stand as the game-winner.
• RIC had a chance to tie the score but Gauvin's three-point attempt bounced off the rim with five seconds left in overtime. Quenneville sealed the game with four free throws as the Spartans would go on to win by five, 68-63.
• Guerrier finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Dorantes chipped in with 10 points and a pair of assists and rebounds.
• Gauvin added eight points, four assists and two boards. Senior forward Fataya Larry (Brooklyn, NY) grabbed 15 boards and added eight points.
• Raiche led all scorers with 23 points and Quenneville added 20 for the Spartans.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 45 percent (24-for-53) from the field, 35 percent (10-for-29) from beyond the three-point arc, and 63 percent (5-for-8) from the foul line.
• CU shot 38 percent (24-for-64) from the field, 50 percent (6-for-12) from three-point range, and 79 percent (14-for-18) from the foul line.
• RIC held the advantage on the glass, 41-33, and recorded six blocks on the day.
