Gorham, Maine—Sophomore Trinity Hayes (Providence, RI) was the Little East Champion in two events, while junior Chelsea Yang (Warwick, RI) also captured an LEC crown, as Rhode Island College finished fourth (eight teams) at the 2020 Little East Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS
• RIC finished fourth (eight teams) with a team score of 90.0. Southern Maine won the championship with a team score of 137.50.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Hayes earned First Team All-Little East honors with first place finishes in both the 200m (25.97) and 400m (1:00.28). She also finished fourth in both the 55m (7.48) and the 4x400m relay (4:25.00).
• Yang earned First Team All-Little East honors with a first place finish in the weight throw (18.69m). She established a new LEC record with her effort. Yang also finished 12th in the shot (9.59m).
• Graduate Oluwafunmibi Yusuff (Providence, RI) earned Second Team All-Little East honors with second place finishes in both the weight throw (15.92m) and the shot (11.87m).
• Senior Chevell Burgess (Providence, RI) finished third in the triple jump (10.66m), fourth in the 4x400m relay (4:25.00), seventh in the 55m hurdles (9.61) and 12th in the long jump (4.34m).
• Sophomore Georgerinna Farley (Providence, RI) finished third in the weight throw (15.91m).
• Junior Bryana Mullin (Warwick, RI) finished third in the mile (5:28.24) and fourth in the 800m (2:29.9)
• Junior Melissa Mejia (Providence, RI) placed fourth in the weight throw (13.92m).
• Freshman Katheryn Biliouris (West Warwick, RI) finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (4:25.00), fifth in the long jump (4.72m), sixth in both the 200m (27.68) and the 400m (1:05.21) and seventh in the 55m (7.74).
• Senior Jamie Dobson (Bradford, RI) finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (4:25.00) and fifth in the weight throw (13.69m).
• Freshman Imari Riebe (Randolph, MA) finished fifth in the triple jump (10.03m).
• Freshman Agi Binta Joof (North Providence, RI) finished 15th in the 200m (29.97).

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2020 N.E. Div. III Championship, hosted by Middlebury on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28-29.
