HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen quickly built a 13-0 lead with wins in the first three bouts. Senior 133 lbs. Francisco Roman (Parlin, NJ) highlighted the run with a pin.
• The Hawks then rolled off five straight wins, notching a pin, technical fall and a major of major decisions to build a 22-13 lead.
• The Anchormen needed a big pin to get back into the match, and Sblendorio was up to the task, winning by fall with just 36 seconds left in the third period.
• Brown then picked up a decision at heavyweight to help the visitors battle back and earn the deadlock.
• RIC was awarded an additional team point (tiebreaker rule) since the Anchormen bested RWU in six-point wins (2-1) to give the visitors a one-point, 23-22, victory.
