Box Score 2 Auburndale, Fla.--Junior pitcher Jake Rockefeller (Cumberland, RI) picked up the win in game one, while sophomore pitcher Connor Davey (Cheshire, CT) threw 6.1 scoreless innings in game two, as the Rhode Island College baseball team swept a doubleheader against Husson at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex Main Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED: GAME ONE
• Freshman first baseman John Willette (Johnston, RI) launched his second home run of the season to put the Anchormen ahead, 1-0, in the second inning.
• Senior shortstop Rommy Morel (Providence, RI) doubled down the third base line, advanced to third on a throwing error on the play and later scored on a passed ball to even the score, 2-2, in the fourth inning.
• Senior second baseman Nate Vigeant (Coventry, RI) doubled to left field in the bottom of the sixth to score Morel and give the Anchormen a 3-2 lead headed into the final frame.
• Junior closer Shaun Gamelin (West Kingston, RI) struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the save.
• Husson freshman outfielder Nolan Brown (Gorham, ME) went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED: GAME TWO
• The Anchormen struck first in game two when senior third baseman Ray Zincone (West Warwick, RI) singled to center field to plate Vigeant in the top of the first inning.
• The Anchormen tacked on six more runs in the second and third frames to increase their lead to 7-0.
• Sophomore left fielder Joey Coro (North Providence, RI) led off the top of the fourth with a solo home run, his first of the season, to put RIC on top, 8-0.
• Davey allowed one run on five hits to go along with four strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn his first win.
BY THE NUMBERS
• Morel went 4-for-5 on the day with four runs scored and one RBI.
• Coro went 4-for-8 for the day with a home run, four runs scored and a pair of RBI.
• Senior center fielder Josh Silva (Seekonk, MA) went 3-for-7 on the day with a pair of runs scored.
