Ricky Brown (North Kingstown, R.I.) capped the day with a pin in the final match as the Rhode Island College wrestling team came from behind to defeat the Pennsylvania College of Technology, 23-15, at the RIC Recreation Center on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen jumped out to a 6-0 advantage thanks to a pair of, 11-4, decisions by freshmen
Kwesi Amoa (Central Islip, N.Y.) and
Fred Luchs (Belford, N.J.) at 125 and 133 lbs., respectively.
• A 12-2 major decision by Wildcat freshman
Cullen Van Rooyen (Dresden, Ohio) at 157 lbs. gave the visitors an 11-6 advantage.
• RIC junior
Eric Zane (Quaker Hill, Conn) secured an 11-5 win at 165 lbs. to pull the hosts within two, 11-9, and junior
Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, Pa.) bumped up two weight classes and picked up a huge technical fall win to give RIC a three-point, 14-11, lead.
• A Penn. College major decision at 184 lbs. staked the visitors to a 15-14 lead. McCarthy trailed 1-0 in the third period before picking up a penalty point, escape and a takedown in quick succession to vault RIC back into the lead, 17-15.
• Brown put an exclamation point on the match with a first period pin in the final bout of the day.
