Providence, R.I.--Freshman 149 lbs. Dominic Bonanno (Westerly, R.I.) and sophomore 157 lbs. Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, Pa.) picked up the only two wins for the Rhode Island College wrestling team as they fell, 38-7, to No. 2-ranked Coast Guard on Friday evening at the RIC Recreation Center.

BY THE NUMBERS
• The Anchormen fell behind, 16-0, before they knew what hit them as the visitors sandwiched a first period pin in between a pair of first period, 16-0, technical falls over the first three bouts.
 
• Bonanno earned the first victory for the Anchormen as he won by decision, 5-4, over Coast Guard sophomore All-American Noah Caskey (Oakdale, Conn.).
 
• Lackman picked up his second victory of the season with a major decision, 9-1, vs. Coast Guard freshman Tony Ulaszek (Greeley, Col.).
 
• The visitors swept the remaining six bouts, highlighted by another two technical falls and a pin.
 
• Senior 197 lbs. Dan Sblendorio (Mountainside, N.J.) battled until the final seconds as he lost by a decision, 3-2, to senior All-American Jon Wagner (Huntingdon, Pa.).
 
• Freshman 285 lbs. Edison Guarcas (Providence, R.I.) lost a close match in double-overtime, 4-1, in the final bout of the evening.
