Ray Zincone (West Warwick, R.I.) finished the twinbill going 3-for-7 with a double and two RBI as Rhode Island College dropped a pair of games (5-0, 12-2) at Eastern Connecticut in Little East baseball action played at Eastern Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Game One:
• The hosts, who are ranked No. 3 in New England, scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning as senior designated hitter
Jack Rich (Meriden, Conn.) brought one across with an RBI groundout and senior third baseman
Luke Broadhurst (Stafford, Conn.) scored on a RIC error.

• Rich picked up another RBI with a groundout in the third to put Eastern up by three, 3-0.

John Mesagno (Tappan, N.Y.) ripped a two-run double in the fourth to give the hosts all they would need to secure the win.

Josh Vincent (New London, Conn.) picked up the win (4-0), allowing four hits and striking out seven in 7.2 innings of work.

• The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as freshman center fielder
Jason Claiborn (Prospect, Conn.) led off with a single and later scored on a RIC error.

Drew Alexopoulos (Hanson, Mass.) smacked a solo shot in the third to put the hosts up, 4-0.
