Danbury, Conn.--Senior third basemen
Ray Zincone (West Warwick, R.I.) led the way for the Anchormen, going 4-for-7 with three runs scored, a pair of doubles and one RBI, as the Rhode Island College baseball took a pair of games from Western Connecticut at Westside Field on Saturday afternoon.

Game One
• Senior second basemen
Nate Vigeant (Coventry, R.I.) belted grand slam, his first home run of the season, to put RIC ahead, 4-0, in the top of the first inning.
• WestConn got a run back in the home half of the first on a sophomore third basemen
Riley McGuire (Monroe, Conn.) RBI double.
• The Anchormen pushed across five more runs in the second due to a pair of errors by the WestConn defense, to extend the lead to eight, 9-1.
• RIC took a 10-run, 11-1, lead in the third as freshman first basemen
Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) smacked an RBI single to left field that scored Zincone.
• RIC tacked on to its lead in the fifth, adding a pair of runs on a junior right fielder
Nick D'Ambra (Coventry, R.I.) double to left field.
• RIC freshman left fielder
Jake Randall (Warwick, R.I.) singled through the left side later in the fifth to score freshman catcher
David Iannuccilli (Johnston, R.I.) and give the Anchormen a 20-1 lead and end the game after five due to the 10-run rule.
• RIC freshman pitcher
Seth Daly (Riverside, R.I.) threw a complete game, allowing one run on two hits, while striking out seven, to earn his third win of the season (3-1).
• WCSU sophomore pitcher
Sam Capetanakis (Easton, Conn.) suffered the loss (0-1).
Game Two
• Freshman designated hitter
Jarrad Grossguth (Coventry, R.I.) got the Anchormen on the board first as he singled to right field, knocking in Zincone, to stake the visitors to an early, 1-0, lead.
• The Anchormen platted another runner in the first as Grossguth scored following a throwing error.
• WestConn responded with three runs in the bottom of the first as junior catcher
Nicholas Hebert (Southbury, Conn.) singled to center field to bring in a pair.
• RIC regained the lead, 4-3, on a freshman center fielder
Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I) triple that brought across a pair of Anchormen in the second.
• During the fourth frame, the Anchormen extended their lead to seven, 10-3, on a freshman shortstop
Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) two-run single through the right side.
• The Anchormen took a 10-run, 13-3, lead when Santerre was hit by a pitch to seal the 13
th consecutive victory for the Anchormen.
• Freshman reliever
Andrew Sears (West Warwick, R.I.) threw five innings, allowing no runs on two hits, and struck out seven to earn the win
• WCSU senior pitcher
Stephen Spinella (Bethel, Conn.) was saddled with the loss (0-1).
BY THE NUMBERS
• Santerre went 3-for-7 with four runs scored and four RBI.
• Vigeant went 5-for-7 with four runs scored and five RBI. Parrillo went 4-for-7 with four runs scored and one RBI.
