Keene, N.H.--Senior third baseman
Ray Zincone (West Warwick, R.I.) went 4-for-6 with four runs scored and five RBI as the Rhode Island College baseball team defeated Keene State College (11-3; 10-0) in Little East action played at The Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
• The Anchormen struck first in the top of the second with a junior left fielder
Joey Coro (North Providence, R.I.) single up the middle to push across the first run of the game. RIC added another run with a bases loaded walk by freshman catcher
Alex Martinez (Cranston, R.I.) to stake the visitors to a 2-0 lead.
• Back-to-back doubles in the top of the third by freshman first basemen
Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) and freshman designated hitter
Jarrad Grossguth (Coventry, R.I.) pushed across two more runs for the Anchormen to give the club a 4-0 lead.
• Zincone hit an RBI double in the fourth and an RBI single in the sixth to increase RIC's lead to six.
• Zincone hit a sacrifice fly to center field that drove in another run in the eighth to give the visitors a seven-run, 8-1, lead.
• Parrillo ripped a line drive up the middle to drive in a pair of runs in eighth.
• RIC freshman pitcher
Andrew Sears (West Warwick, R.I.) went 6.0 innings, allowing no runs on three hits and striking out eight batters, in the win (2-2).
• KSC sophomore pitcher
Patrick McKeighan (Pittsford, Vt.) took the loss (0-2).
Game Two
• The Anchormen were quick to strike in game two as Zincone hit another sacrifice fly to push across freshman center fielder
Cam Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) to score the game's first run.
• Zincone racked up another RBI with a single in the third that jump started a breakout inning for the Anchormen.
• Senior shortstop
Rommy Morel (Providence, R.I.) hit a gap shot to left center field with bases loaded that drove in a pair of runners to give the Anchormen a 7-0 lead in the third.
• RIC plated two in the fourth on a senior second basemen
Nate Vigeant (Coventry, R.I.) walk and a pitch that hit Coro to increase the advantage to nine.
• Vigeant singled up the middle in the eighth stanza to give the Anchormen a 10-0 lead and freshman pitcher
Kyle Haberle (Chepachet, R.I.) came in during the home half of the frame and closed the door for the 21st victory of the season for the Anchormen.
• RIC junior reliever
Carlos Pena (Providence, R.I.) threw two innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win (1-0).
• KSC sophomore pitcher
Josh Beayon (Pittsford, Vt.) took the loss (0-1).
• RIC pitchers allowed just one hit on the day.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC finished the regular season tied for second in the Little East with Southern Maine.
• Parrillo went 5-for-8 with three runs scored and four RBI.
• Vigeant knocked in three RBI in the two games.
