Providence, R.I.—Junior outside hitter
Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) pushed her double-double streak to five straight matches as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team fell, 3-1, vs. UMass Dartmouth at the Murray Center on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC got off to a hot start, claiming the first set by five, 25-20. Murphy had seven kills in the frame.
• UMass Dartmouth answered back with a victory in set two, 25-19, to even the match. The Corsairs were even more dominant in the third set, riding freshman outside hitter
Kate Wade (San Clemente, Calif.) and sophomore middle hitter
Marley Alexander (Ashburn, Va.), and coasted to an eight-point, 25-17, win.
• The fourth set was neck and neck all the way until the end. With the Corsairs up by a pair, 24-22, Murphy hit a rocket that was received by UMD junior libero
Venessa Barreto (Natick, Mass.) and floated all the way over the net on to RIC's side of the court. The ball landed right in front of the back line for the final kill of the game and secured the Corsairs' victory.
BY THE NUMBERS
• Murphy led the Anchorwomen with a match-high 18 kills to go along with 19 digs.
• Freshman outside hitter
Rhiannon Hodovanec (Feeding Hills, Mass.) registered a career-high 13 kills.

Zoe Dizenzo (Orange, Conn.) handed out an astonishing 42 helpers, setting a new career high and shattering her previous high of 32.

Devon Laing (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) led the visitors with 22 digs.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East action at Plymouth State on Saturday, Oct. 2 (noon). The Anchorwomen will also face off against Maine-Presque Isle (2 p.m.).
