Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) led the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team with 12 kills and 15 digs as the Anchorwomen cruised past Salem State, 3-0 (25-3, 25-23, 25-18), in their opener on Tuesday evening.

• The Anchorwomen crushed the hosts, 25-3, in the opening set, before the Vikings made the Anchorwomen earn set two, 25-23. RIC won the decisive frame by seven, 25-18, to clinch the win.
