Bridgewater, Mass.--Junior 157 lbs.
Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, Pa.) went 3-0 as the Rhode Island College wrestling team posted a 1-2 mark to close out the regular season at a quad-match hosted by Bridgewater State on Friday night.
THE BASICS
• RIC, Bridgewater State, American International College (AIC) and Trinity all participated in the quad meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC faced off against Bridgewater State in the opener, falling, 22-19, to the hosts.
• The Anchormen lost their second match to Trinity, with the Bantams securing a 30-21 victory.
• Rhode Island College capped the evening with a convincing, 27-15, win over AIC.
• RIC concludes the regular season with an 8-12 record.
• In the Bridgewater match, RIC held a strong, 19-9, advantage over the Bears. The hosts would rattle off three straight wins to upend the Anchormen by three, 22-19.
• Against Trinity, the Bantams were up, 30-6, through the first seven bouts. RIC would score the final 15 points of the match, but would ultimately fall short by nine points.
• The Anchormen won seven of the 10 bouts against the Yellow Jackets to close out the quad with a win.
• Lackman continued his undefeated streak on the year, winning all three of his matches, which included a pin and a technical fall.
• Junior 184 lbs.
Jett Tancsik (Centereach, N.Y.) also went 3-0 with a trio of decisions on the night.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the NCAA Div. III Northeast Regional Championship on Feb. 26-27.
