Nathan Lackman Attains All-American Status After Day One at NCAA Wrestling National Championship

Cedar Rapids, Iowa—Rhode Island College junior 157 lbs. Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, Pa.) went 2-0 and secured an All-American spot during the first day of competition at the 2022 NCAA Div. III Wrestling National Championship on Friday.
 
Lackman, who is seeded No. 3 in his weight class, opened competition with a 10-0 major decision win over unseeded New Jersey City University's Jeff Johnson.
 
He then defeated No. 6-seeded Noah Hertel from Wisconsin-La Crosse, 5-3.
 
Lackman will face Wartburg's David Hollingsworth, the No. 2 seed, in the semifinals on Saturday, March 12 (11 a.m.).
 
He is assured of finishing in the top six and is guaranteed an All-American spot.
