Dylan Tashdjian (Riverside, R.I.) won in straight sets at No. 6 singles to lead the Rhode Island College men's tennis team past Suffolk, 8-1, at the RIC Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

• The Anchormen improved their doubles mark to 19-2 on the season with a 3-0 sweep in pairs action. Freshmen
Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) and
Zach Siemmao (Wakefield, R.I.) won, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles.
• Gouin set the stage to clinch the match with a straight set (6-0, 6-1) win at No. 4 singles.
• Tashdjian helped the Anchormen secure their seventh consecutive win to start the season with a (6-0, 6-2) victory at No. 6 singles.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East action at Castleton on Saturday, April 16 (1 p.m.).
