Springfield, Mass.—Senior 157 lbs. Eric Zane (Quaker Hill, Conn.) went 4-0 with four decisions and was named to the All-Tournament Team as Rhode Island College finished 10^th (16 teams) at the 2023 New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Dual Meet Championship, hosted by Springfield on Sunday.
 
THE BASICS
• After suffering a 33-11 setback vs. No. 6-seeded Southern Maine, the 11^th-seeded Anchormen won their next two contests before falling in the consolation final to No. 9-seeded Wesleyan, 30-21.
 
• RIC finished 10^th in the 16-team field. Johnson & Wales took home the title by going 4-0 on the day.
 
• Senior 165 lbs. Nathan Lackman (Wernersville, Pa.) went 4-0 with two technical falls and two pins on the day.
