Anchorwomen Down Western New England, 133-92, for First-Ever Home Victory

Providence, R.I.--Senior Anna Vygoder (Lincoln, R.I.) won three events as the Rhode Island College women's swimming team won their first-ever home meet with a 133-92 win vs. Western New England at the Recreation Center's Sandra E. Surdut Pool on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Vygoder finished first in the 200-yard medley relay (2:07.82), 100-yard freestyle (1:00.28) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:17.29) and second in the 100-yard IM (1:08.87).
 
• Senior Meghan Laflamme (Smithfield, R.I.) finished first in the 200-yard medley relay (2:07.82), 50-yard backstroke (32.87) and the 50-yard butterfly (34.84) and second in the 50-yard freestyle (28.73).
 
• Senior Rebecca Fyrer (Cranston, R.I.) finished first in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:07.82) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:25.37) and second in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:18.70), 500-yard freestyle (6:47.98)
 
• Sophomore Morgan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished first in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:07.82) and the 50-yard breaststroke (38.16), second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:21.27) and third in the 100-yard IM (1:17.86).
 
• Senior Marta Matzko (Rumford, R.I.) finished second in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (15:28.20) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:29.45) and third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:27.58).
 
• Freshman Elizabeth Shepard (Smithfield, R.I.) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:24.48) and third the 200-yard medley relay (2:56.81), 200-yard freestyle (3:09.39) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:23.40).
 
• Freshman Kate Clayman (Smithfield, R.I.) finished second in both the 50-yard backstroke (40.39) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:24.48), third in the 200-yard medley relay (2:56.81) and fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (8:02.35).
 
• Freshman Abigail Steinhilber (Warwick, R.I.) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:24.48) and third in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (17:17.48) and the 50-yard freestyle (37.62).
 
• Sophomore Olivia Landry (Lincoln, R.I.) finished second in the 50-yard butterfly (47.16) and third in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:56.81) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:44.04).
 
• Freshman Ivy Par (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:24.48) and third in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:56.81) and the 50-yard breaststroke (56.83).
