HOW IT HAPPENED
• Rockford scored first off of an RBI single in the third inning to take the lead, 1-0. RIC matched that run in the fourth inning.

• In the sixth and seventh inning, the Anchormen were able to tag the Regents for nine combined runs. Parrillo singled in two in the sixth and then doubled home a pair in the seventh.

• Rockford did get on a roll late in the ballgame, scoring three runs in the ninth, but didn't have enough juice to complete the comeback attempt.

Connor Davey (Cheshire, Conn.) moved into a tie for fourth all-time in RIC history with his 18th career win and first on the season (1-0). He went seven strong with four punchouts.
