Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) got the walk off base hit as the Rhode Island College baseball team came from behind to edge Suffolk, 7-6, in game two of a doubleheader played at Pontarelli Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Suffolk struck first when sophomore right fielder
Max Iorio (Hull, Mass.) smacked a grand slam over the left field fence to give the Rams a 4-0 advantage in the first.
• After the Rams scored a run in the fourth, sophomore catcher
Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) cleared the bases with a double in the bottom of the frame to cut the SU lead down to two runs, 5-3.
• Each team got a run in the seventh, keeping the Rams' lead at two.
• In the bottom of the ninth, a double by freshman second baseman
Lucas McElroy (Westport, Mass.) and a single from junior third baseman
Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) knotted the game at six apiece.
• Podedworny came up to the plate with a runner on third and roped a liner past the infield to seal the victory and complete the sweep vs. the Rams.
• Pierce drove in three runs and Parrillo accounted for two RBI for the Anchormen.
• Podedworny went 3-for-5 with the game-winning hit.

Colin Gauthier (Pawtucket, R.I.) went three innings of relief, striking out four, to secure his second win of the year (2-2).
