Milton, Mass.—Freshman Gabriella Centracchio (Cranston, R.I.) won her first collegiate match as Rhode Island College raised its current win streak to five matches in a 7-2 victory at Curry on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC took two of three in doubles action, highlighted by sophomore Erica Botelho's (Greenville, R.I.) and senior Anna Vygoder's (Lincoln, R.I.), 8-0, shutout at the second spot.
 
• The visitors won at every singles spot, except for No. 1, as Centracchio notched a shutout (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6.
 
• Sophomore Li hsiu Hou (Kingston, R.I.) won at No. 3 doubles (8-0) and lost just one game (6-1, 6-0) in a straight set victory at No. 5 singles.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East play at home vs. Southern Maine on Friday, Sept. 29 (3 p.m.).
