• Rhode Island College finished eighth (15 teams) with a team score of 65.0. Coast Guard won the invitational with a team score of 161.0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Luchs went 4-0 with a pair of technical fall wins and two decisions to claim the crown at 125 lbs.

• Alfonso went 3-1 with a decision and two pins before falling in the finals to placed second at heavyweight.

• Two of RIC's top wrestlers bowed out with injuries in the quarterfinals as senior
Aidan Faria (Cumberland, R.I.) earned a major decision victory at 174 lbs., before being forced to default with an injury for the remainder of the tournament. Faria is currently ranked No. 8 in New England.

Matthew Kelly (Katonah, N.Y.) picked up a pin in his first match before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the day. Kelly is ranked No. 3 in New England.
