Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) posted 22 points, grabbed five boards and dished out five assists as Rhode Island College fell vs. Randolph-Macon College, 58-57, at the Puerto Rico Clasico on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sophomore guard 
Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) scored 10 points in the first quarter as the Anchorwomen and Yellow Jackets were even, 17-17 after the first 10 minutes.
 
• The teams would battle out the rest of the half, with RIC leading by two at the break, 34-32.
 
• Three and a half minutes would go by in the third quarter before any scoring started again as both teams combined for just 13 points in the third stanza.
 
• Foul trouble would plague the Anchorwomen, which sent the Yellow Jackets to the line as RIC's comeback attempt in the fourth quarter would fall just short.
 
• Freshman guard 
Jaina Yekelchik (North Scituate, R.I.) scored a career-high nine points off the bench.
