Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior gymnast
Olivia Keyes (Bridgewater, Mass.) received the Bourget Family Award at the college's annual Cap and Gown Day held in Roberts Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
The award is given out annually to an outstanding Rhode Island College student-athlete or student involved with intercollegiate athletics who plans on attending graduate school following the conclusion of their collegiate career.
Keyes is one of the greatest gymnasts ever to done the maroon and gold for Rhode Island College.
As a senior in 2023-24, Keyes was named the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Senior Athlete of the Year and the NCGA East Region Gymnast of the Year. She earned All-American honors with a third place finish in the all-around and a seventh place performance on floor. It was her fifth and sixth career All-American awards, having totaled three in the all-around, two on floor and one on beam. Keyes was also named an NCGA All-American in Academics.
Keyes was named a Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Div. III First Team All-American in the all-around. She was also named the NCAA Div. III Region 9 Athlete of the Year.
Prior to action at the Nationals, she was the NCGA East Region All-Around Champion for the third straight season, finishing first overall, and was also the East Region Beam Champion with a first place finish, at the NCGA East Region Championship.
As a junior in 2022-23, Keyes earned All-American honors in the all-around with a third place finish (37.775) at the NCGA National Championship and also earned NCGA East All-Region honors on beam and in the all-around.
As a sophomore in 2021-22, Keyes was named the NCGA East Region Rookie of the Year. Keyes also earned All-American and All-Region honors on the beam, floor and all-around.
She is a psychology major.
