Bridgewater, Mass.--Senior Morgan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished third in the 50-yard breaststroke (36.28) and fourth in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:18.01) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:55.92) as the Rhode Island College women's swimming team finished fifth (seven teams) at the Bridgewater State Invitational, which was held in the Moriarty Pool, on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished fifth (seven teams) with a team score of 164. Bridgewater State won the meet with a team score of 1,199.5.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• McCann also finished seventh in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:15.63) and 400-yard freestyle relay (4:34.56).
 
• Freshman Katelyn Rogers (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly (3:14.14), seventh in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:15.63) and 400-yard freestyle relay (4:34.56), eighth in the 500-yard freestyle (6:31.05) and 10th in the 200-yard IM (3:00.11).
 
• Sophomore Meghan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished seventh in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:15.63) and 400-yard freestyle relay (4:34.56), ninth in both the 400-yard IM (6:19.09) and 100-yard freestyle (1:04.88) and 15th in the 50-yard freestyle (29.37).
 
• Junior Ivy Par (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished seventh in both the 200-yard butterfly (3:22.92) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:34.56) and 11th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:28.95). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:25.21).
 
• Sophomore Taryn Reed (Pascoag, R.I.) finished seventh in the 200-yard medley relay (2:15.63) and 10th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (23:42.66).
 
• Junior Mabel Huynh (North Providence, R.I.) finished seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke (3:19.81), eighth in the 400-yard IM (6:17.63) and ninth in the 200-yard IM (2:58.65). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:25.21).
 
• Junior Kate Clayman (Smithfield, R.I.) finished eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke (3:25.77) and 11th in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:37.01) and 200-yard IM (3:03.52). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:25.21).
 
• Junior Elizabeth Shepard (Smithfield, R.I.) finished eighth in the 200-yard butterfly (3:40.40), 12th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:37.02) and 13th in the 50-yard butterfly (40.66). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:52.15) and the 400-yard medley relay (5:36.39).
 
• Freshman Alana Sousa (Berkley, Mass.) finished eighth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:51.91), ninth in the 50-yard breaststroke (36.35) and 11th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:18.34). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:25.21).
 
• Senior Olivia Landry (Lincoln, R.I.) finished ninth in the 200-yard butterfly (3:48.17), 15th in the 50-yard butterfly (44.97) and 17th in the 50-yard backstroke (49.20). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:52.15) and the 400-yard medley relay (5:36.39).
 
• Junior Abigail Steinhilber (Warwick, R.I.) finished 10th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:58.58), 11th in the 50-yard backstroke (38.38) and 13th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:23.29). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:52.15) and the 400-yard medley relay (5:36.39).
 
• Sophomore Lydia Paul (Lincoln, R.I.) finished 18^th in the 50-yard breaststroke (49.63) and 24th in the 100-yard freestyle (1:21.66). She also swam the 200-yard medley relay (2:52.15) and the 400-yard medley relay (5:36.39).
