Fred Luchs (Belford, N.J.) got the action started with a first period pin.
• After a Pilgrim decision and a technical fall win, Pestana brought the house down with a takedown and impressive pin to give RIC the lead, 12-8.
• Once again NEC secured a technical fall win to go up by a point, 13-12, but senior 165 lbs.
Christopher McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.) dominated his opponent to secure his sixth tech. fall win on the season, which gave the hosts the advantage for good.
