2025 Rhode Island College Men's Outdoor Track and Field Season Summary

Providence, R.I.—Head Coach Timothy Rudd's team finished the 2025 men's track and field outdoor season with a 28th place tie (30 teams) with a team score of 1.0 at the NEICAAA Championship, hosted by UMass Amherst on May 10.
 
The Anchormen finished 20th (36 teams) with a team score of 16.0 at the New England Div. III Championship, hosted by Coast Guard Academy on May 2-3.
 
The Anchormen finished third (nine teams) with a score of 102.0 at the Little East Championship, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on April 27.
 
Senior Garrett Jones (Beacon Falls, Conn.) earned All-New England honors with a seventh place finish in the triple jump (13.78m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. He earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the triple jump (13.35m) and also placed seventh in the long jump (6.08m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Jones finished third in the triple jump (13.04m), 12th in the long jump (6.23m) and 28th in the 100m (11.69) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed second in the triple jump (13.43m), eighth in the long jump (6.42m) and 44th in the 100m preliminaries (11.96) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Jones finished second in the triple jump (13.61m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed second in the triple jump (12.87m) and 10th in the long jump (5.92m) at the Black and Gold Invitational hosted on March 28-29. Jones finished 21st in the long jump (6.27m) and 23rd in the triple jump (13.18m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
As a junior in 2024, Jones finished sixth in the triple jump (12.88m) and 11th in the long jump (6.27m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Jones finished fourth in the triple jump (12.90m) and 13th in the long jump (5.83m) at the Sean Collier Invitational on April 20. He finished third in the triple jump (12.88m) and eighth in the long jump (6.12m) at the Penmen Relays on April 13. Jones placed eighth in the triple jump (12.46m) and 10th in the long jump (6.49m) at the Coast Guard Spring Invitational on April 6. He finished fifth in the triple jump (12.55m) and 14th in the long jump (5.94m) at the Bryant Black and Gold Invitational on April 6.
 
Prior to transferring into RIC, Jones attended Maine-Farmington.
 
He is an economics major and a 2021 graduate of Notre Dame High School.
 
Junior Isiah Briggs (Providence, R.I.) finished 12th in the 4x100m relay (42.67) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned All-New England honors with an eighth place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.31) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Briggs earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.11) and also finished 14th in the 200m (23.04) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed seventh in the 200m (22.92), ninth in the 100m (11.27) and 34th in the long jump (5.56m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Briggs finished 10th in the 200m (22.86), 11th in the long jump (5.97m) and 23rd in the 100m preliminaries (11.40) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed 14th in the long jump, 21st in the 100m (11.61) and 31st in the 200m (24.52) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Briggs finished 13th in the 4x100m relay (43.29) and 65th in the 100m (11.47) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Junior Loudon Chupas (Colchester, Conn.) earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in both the javelin and high jump. Chupas finished fourth in the high jump (1.96m) at the MIT Final Qualifier on May 15. He placed 22nd in the javelin (47.14m) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. Chupas finished 10th in the high jump (1.90m) and 11th in the javelin (56.74m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. He earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the javelin (49.74m) and earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the high jump (1.90m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Chupas finished first in the high jump (1.85m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed first in the high jump (1.98m) and third in the javelin (55.83m) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Chupas finished third in the high jump (1.89m) and fifth in the javelin (53.58m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed fourth in the javelin (53.39m) and tied for ninth in the high jump (1.74m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29.
 
Junior Shamus Culhane (North Kingstown, R.I.) finished 18th in the hammer (48.23m) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned All-New England honors with a fifth place finish in the hammer (50.59m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Culhane earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the hammer (49.58m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed second in the hammer (51.41m) and 17th in the discus (32.27m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Culhane finished second in the hammer (52.00m) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed sixth in the hammer (50.70m) and 21st in the discus (30.51m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Culhane finished 16th in the hammer (48.57m) and 31st in the discus (31.33m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed fourth in the hammer (51.22) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Junior Izaiah Karweh (Providence, R.I.) finished 12th in the 100m first round (10.96) at the MIT Final Qualifier on May 15. He placed 12th in the 4x100m relay (42.67) and 24th in the 100m (10.86) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. Karweh earned All-New England honors with an eighth place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.31) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. He placed 20th in the 100m preliminaries (11.04) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Karweh earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.11) and also finished sixth in the 100m (11.17), 13th in the high jump (1.75m) and 15th in the 200m (24.32) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed second in the 4x100m relay (43.22), third in the high jump (1.85m), fourth in the 100m (11.17) and ninth in the 200m (22.95) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Karweh finished 12th in the 200m (22.90) and 18th in the 100m preliminaries (11.26) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed second in the 4x100m relay (42.24), 10th in the 100m (11.13) and 13th in the 200m (23.30) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Karweh finished eighth in the high jump (1.79m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He tied for sixth in the open high jump (1.75m), finished 13th in the 4x100m relay (43.29), 47th in the 100m (11.22) and tied for 71st in the 200m (23.52) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22. 
 
Junior Benjamin Lockwood (Saunderstown, R.I.) finished 20th in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:56.13) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He placed ninth in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:55.94) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Lockwood earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase (10.03.39) and also finished sixth in the 4x800m relay (8:54.21) and 15th in the 800m (2:06.54) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed eighth in the 800m (2:01.95) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Lockwood finished third in the 3,000m steeplechase (10:46.03) and 10th in the 800m (2:03.06) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed third in the 3,000m steeplechase (10:11.02) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Lockwood finished 10th in the 3,000m (10:12.56) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed seventh in the 3,000m (10.23.80) and 12th in the 800m (2:04.69) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22. 
 
Junior Brandon Mota (West Warwick, R.I.) earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the hammer. Mota finished 12th in the hammer (51.81m) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned All-New England honors with a fourth place finish in the hammer (52.00m) and placed 13th in the discus (42.91m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Mota earned First Team All-Little East honors with a first place finish in the hammer (50.66m) and earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the discus (44.11m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed first in the hammer (53.50m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Mota finished fourth in both the discus (42.61m) and the hammer (50.38m) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed fourth in the hammer (54.00m) and 14th in the discus (37.01m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Mota finished fifth in the hammer (50.36m) and 18th in the discus (39.25m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Sophomore Gabriel Dosunmu (Providence, R.I.) finished seventh in the long jump (6.66m) at the MIT Final Qualifier on May 15. He placed 14th in the long jump (6.64m) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. Dosunmu finished 10th in the long jump (6.70m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. He placed sixth in the long jump (6.42m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Dosunmu finished fourth in the long jump (6.70m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed third in the long jump (6.66m), 19th in the 200m (23.27) and 37th in the 100m preliminaries (11.71) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Dosunmu finished third in the long jump (6.73m) and 16th in the 100m (11.46) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed 22nd in the 100m (11.76) and 26th in the 200m (24.09) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Dosunmu tied for 71st in the 200m (23.52) and placed 86th in the 100m (11.85) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22. 
 
Sophomore Younton Doe (Pawtucket, R.I.) earned two All-New England honors with a sixth place finish in the 4x400m (3:18.53) and an eighth place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.31) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. He earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.11) and also placed fourth in both the 400m (50.51) and 4x400m relay (3:24.14), to go along with a 13th place finish in the 200m (22.79), at the Little East Championship on April 27. Doe finished first in the 4x400m relay (3:24.09), fifth in the 400m (51.26) and sixth in the 200m (22.85) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed eighth in the 200m (22.70) and 11th in the 400m (51.57) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Doe finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:27.20) and eighth in the 400m (51.32) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed sixth in the 400m (51.42) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Doe finished 28th in the 400m (52.27) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Sophomore Enrique Edjang (Providence, R.I.) finished 21st in the hammer (46.49m) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned All-New England honors with an eighth place finish in the hammer (49.87m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Edjang finished fifth in the weight throw (45.95m) and 15th in the javelin (31.80m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed third in the hammer (49.74m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Edjang finished fifth in the hammer (49.38m) and 19th in the javelin (28.27) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed seventh in the hammer (49.51m) and 13th in the javelin (29.41m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Edjang finished 12th in the hammer (51.68m) and 14th in the javelin (40.22m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed eighth in the hammer (48.99m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Sophomore Andrew Frezza (Johnston, R.I.) finished 28th in the 5,000m (16:32.06) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He placed 27th in the 10,000m (34:37.26) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Frezza finished sixth in the 10,000m (34:37.71) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed second in the 3,000m (9:20.33) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Frezza finished ninth in the 5,000m (15:53.37) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed eighth in the 3,000m (9:15.10) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22. Frezza finished 10th in the 5,000m (15:49.81) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Sophomore Antonello Lucchetti (Cranston, R.I.) finished 29th in the 200m (24.10) and 34th in the 100m (11.78) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed 22nd in the 200m (23.48) and 41st  in the 100m preliminaries (11.88) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Lucchetti finished 14th in the 200m (23.38) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4.
 
Sophomore Giovani Monteiro (North Providence, R.I.) ??finished sixth in the 4x800m relay (8:54.21) and 15th in the 400m (54.45) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed 15th in the 400m (53.77) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Monteiro finished 15th in the 400m (52.16) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed 12th in the 400m (53.51) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29.
 
Sophomore Trevor Morgan (Smithfield, R.I.) finished 19th in the hammer (46.50m) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. He placed fourth in the hammer (47.27m) and 12th in the discus (33.43m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Morgan finished fourth in the hammer (48.01m), ninth in the discus (34.94m) and 20th in the shot (10.69m) at the Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed ninth in the hammer (44.58m) and 11th in the discus (34.17m) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Morgan finished ninth in the hammer (46.75m) and 17th in the discus (34.42m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed 28th in the hammer (42.15m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Morgan finished 18th in the hammer (44.39m), 43rd in the discus (32.04m) and 46th in the shot (10.08m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Sophomore Will Schiller (Smithfield, R.I.) earned All-NEICAAA honors with an eighth place finish in the 4x400m relay (3:27.09) and placed 12th in the 4x100m relay (42.67) and 23rd in the 400m (50.49) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned a pair of All-New England honors as he finished sixth in the 4x400m relay and eighth in the 4x100m relay (42.31), while also placing 20th in the 400m (50.36), at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Schiller earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the 4x100m relay (42.11), Third Team All Little East honors with a third place finish in the 400m (50.10) and also finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:24.14) and 10th in the 200m (22.51) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed first in both the 400m (49.61) and the 4x400m relay (3:24.09), second in the 4x100m relay (43.22) and third in the 200m (22.51) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Schiller finished second in the 4x100m relay (42.24), fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:27.20) and fifth in the 400m (50.25) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed second in the 400m (50.64) and 17th in the 200m (23.28) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Schiller finished 13th in the 4x100m relay (43.29), 17th in the 400m (50.69) and 49th in the 200m (22.93) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Matt Coburn (Cumberland, R.I.) finished sixth in the 4x800m relay (8:54.21) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed 31st in the 800m (2:15.58) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Coburn finished 12th in the 800m (2:10.10) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed 18th in the 800m (2:10.71) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Joshua Dabanka (Providence, R.I.) finished sixth in the triple jump (12.66m) and 12th in the long jump (5.51m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed sixth in the triple jump (12.28m) and 33rd in the long jump (5.61m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Dabanka finished fifth in both the long jump (6.55m) and the triple jump (12.36m) and 34th in the 200m (23.83) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed 10th in the long jump (5.96m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Dabanka finished eighth in the triple jump (11.74m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29.
 
Freshman Aiden Fitzgerald (Cumberland, R.I.) finished 11th in the shot (11.79m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed seventh in the shot (12.15m), 14th in the hammer (34.95m) and 25th in the discus (29.64m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Fitzgerald finished 12th in the shot (11.58m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed 10th in the shot (12.11m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Fitzgerald finished 32nd in the shot (11.58m) and 57th in the discus (26.37m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Ravi Kapadia (Lincoln, R.I.) finished eighth in the shot (12.72m) and 10th in the hammer (39.57m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed eighth in the shot (11.92m) and 12th in the hammer (39.89m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Kapadia finished 15th in the hammer (35.30m) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed 11th in the shot (11.72m) and 20th in the hammer (39.58m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Kapadia finished 11th in the shot (12.02m) and 32nd in the hammer (38.01m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. Kapadia finished 34th in the shot (11.47m) and 51st in the discus (29.78m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Nick Lamoureux (North Smithfield, R.I.) earned All-NEICAAA honors with an eighth place finish in the 4x400m relay (3:27.09) and placed 12th in the 4x100m relay (42.67) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned All-New England honors with a sixth place finish in the 4x400m (3:18.53) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. Lamoureux finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:24.14), 10th in the 400m (52.24) and 14th in the high jump (1.70m) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed second in the 4x100m relay (43.22), seventh in the high jump (1.80m) and 16th in the 200m (23.23) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Lamoureux finished fifth in the high jump (1.83m), 13th in the 400m (52.10) and 26th in the 200m (23.54) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed second in the 4x100m relay (42.24), fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:27.20), sixth in the high jump (1.79m) and 14th in the 400m (52.83) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Lamoureux finished fifth in the 400m (51.37), tied for ninth in the high jump (1.74m) and 20th in the 200m (23.32) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He tied for sixth in the open high jump (1.75m), finished 13th in the 4x100m relay (43.29), 18th in the 400m (51.95) and 52nd in the 200m (23.03) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22. 
 
Freshman Devin McCaffrey (Lincoln, R.I.) finished 23rd in the discus (31.16m) and 26th in the shot (9.84m) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed 15th in the shot (10.22m) and 18th in the discus (32.89m) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. McCaffrey finished 20th in the shot (9.41m) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed 43rd in the shot (10.52m) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Jack McEntee (Foster, R.I.) earned All-NEICAAA honors with an eighth place finish in the 4x400m relay (3:27.09) and placed 17th in the 400m hurdles (55.88) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He earned All-New England honors with a sixth place finish in the 4x400m (3:18.53) at the N.E. Div. III Championship on May 2-3. McEntee earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the 400m hurdles (57.23) and also finished fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:24.14) and seventh in the 110m hurdles (16.86) at the Little East Championship on April 27. He placed second in the 400m hurdles (55.50) and seventh in the 110m hurdles (16.78) the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. McEntee finished second in the 400m hurdles (56.47) and seventh in the 110m hurdles (16.90) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed second in the 400m hurdles (56.99) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. McEntee finished fourth in the 400m hurdles (57.23) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed 11th in the 400m hurdles (59.37) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Tyrell O'Connell (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished second in the 4x100m relay (43.22) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed second in the 4x100m relay (42.24), fourth in the 200m (22.23) and 11th in the 100m (11.15) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. O'Connell finished 12th in the 200m (22.92) and 17th in the 100m (11.36) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed 48th in the 100m (11.23) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Scott Pakenham (Portsmouth, R.I.) finished seventh in the 800m (1:58.99) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed 25th in the 800m (2:03.26) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29.
 
Freshman Jamarre Parrott (Warwick, R.I.) finished 14th in the 200m (23.15) and 16th in the 100m (11.46) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed 16th in the 200m (23.19) and 24th in the 100m preliminaries at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Parrott finished 23rd in the 200m (23.64) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed 74th in the 200m (23.62) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Steve Rodrigues (Burrillville, R.I.) finished 20th in the 200m (23.53) and 23rd in the 100m (11.59) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. Rodrigues finished 15th in the 200m (23.11) and 27th in the 100m preliminaries (11.50) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. He placed 17th in the 200m (23.49) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. Rodrigues finished 94th in the 100m (12.05) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Owen Schenck (Warren, R.I.) earned Second Team All-Little East and LEC All-Rookie honors with a second place finish in the 800m (1:57.60) and also finished sixth in the 4x800m relay (8:54.21) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Schenck finished first in both the 800m (1:56.05) and the 4x400m relay (3:24.09) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed first in the 800m (1:56.48) at the Ed Daniels Invitational on April 14. Schenck finished fifth in the 800m (1:55.86) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4. He placed 19th in the 800m (1:59.48) at the Black and Gold Invitational on March 28-29. He placed eighth in the mile (4:32.83) and 24th in the 800m (2:02.40) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20-22.
 
Freshman Brody Shiels (Wakefield, R.I.) earned All-NEICAAA honors with an eighth place finish in the 4x400m relay (3:27.09) at the NEICAAA Championship on May 10. He placed 11th in the 400m (52.51) at the Little East Championship on April 27. Shiels finished first in the 4x400m relay (3:24.09), ninth in the 400m (52.46) and 13th in the 200m (23.14) at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic on April 18. He placed fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:27.20) and 11th in the 400m (51.86) at the Ocean State Cup on April 4.
