Providence, R.I.—Sophomore Haylie Peacock (West Gardiner, Maine) and senior Erica Botelho (Greenville, R.I.) dominated at No. 1 doubles as Rhode Island College blanked Suffolk, 7-0, at the RIC Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC took the doubles point with a sweep in pairs action. Peacock and Botelho won with a 6-0, shutout.
 
• Peacock (6-0, 6-1) and Botelho (6-1, 6-1) cruised to straight set wins at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively.
 
• Freshman Faith Owren (Richmond, R.I.) then clinched the match with a straight set (6-2, 6-1) victory at fifth singles.
