Gorham, Maine--Sophomore Quiana Pezza (Cranston, R.I.) finished first overall in the 200m (26.96) as the Rhode Island College women's track and field team competed at the USM Open II, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS

THE TOP PERFORMERS
• Pezza also finished second in the sprint medley relay (4:21.24) and fourth in the long jump (5.11m).
 
• Senior Haley Oliver (Coventry, R.I.) won the 800m (2:23.41) and finished second in the sprint medley relay (4:21.24).
 
• Freshman Naibel Noriega (Providence, R.I.) finished first overall in the 400m (1:01.89), second in the sprint medley relay (4:21.24) and seventh in the 55m finals (8.05).
 
• Freshman Zoe Matos (Wakefield, R.I.) finished first overall in the high jump (1.47m) and 14th in the 200m (29.14).
 
• Sophomore Bendu Kamara (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished second in the sprint medley relay (4:21.24), fifth in the 400m (1:06.00) and eighth in the 55m finals (8.33).

• Sophomore Grace Lane (North Smithfield, R.I.) finished fourth in the 800m (2:32.52).
 
THE REST OF THE FIELD
• Freshman Shanna Correia (West Warwick, R.I.) finished third in the triple jump (9.60m), fourth in the high jump (1.42m) and 11th in the long jump (4.57m).
 
• Freshman Aaliyah Barbour-Chamble (Providence, R.I.) finished fourth in the 200m (27.66) and 17th in the 55m preliminaries (8.17).
 
• Freshman Morgan Gonsalves (Dartmouth, Mass.) finished eighth in the 800m (2:45.82).
 
• Freshman Kathryn Patalano (Riverside, R.I.) finished eighth in the 400m (1:11.95).
 
• Sophomore Funmilayo Mclin (Providence, R.I.) finished ninth in the weight throw (10.66m).
 
• Freshman Nizari Zayas (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished ninth in the 800m (2:55.42)
 
• Junior Shirley Portillo (North Providence, R.I.) finished 10th in the 400m (1:12.65).
 
• Sophomore Mariangely Rodriguez (Providence, R.I.) finished 10th in the weight throw (10.66m).
 
• Junior Linda Echeverria (Johnston, R.I.) finished 11th in the 800m (3:09.09).
 
• Freshman Maire Scanlon (Rocky Hill, Conn.) finished 12th in the long jump (4.56m), 13th in the 55m preliminaries (7.95) and 18th in the 200m (29.88).
 
• Junior Lexie Zakrzewski (Taunton, Mass.) finished 12th in the 200m (29.10) and 22nd in the 55m preliminaries (8.38).
 
• Freshman Jennie Mosca (Providence, R.I.) finished 13th in the 800m (3:17.40).
