Providence, R.I--Rhode Island College sophomore Aaliyah Krause (Milwaukee, Wis.) was named the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) East Region All-Around Gymnast of the Week for her performance at a quad-meet hosted by Long Island University on Feb. 20. It is the second time this season that she has received this award.
Krause finished 19th on vault (9.550), 22nd on bars (9.350), 13th on beam (9.650), 26th on floor (9.350) and fifth in the all-around (37.900).
RIC was the lone Div. III team at the meet, as host LIU and UNH are Div. I institutions, while Bridgeport is a Div. II school. The Anchorwomen finished fourth with a team score of 188.950.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to Utica for a tri-match with Springfield on Sunday, March 1 (1 p.m.).
