RIC's 4x100m Relay Earns Weekly Little East Women's Track and Field Honors

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College's 4x100m relay was named the Little East Women's Relay Team of the Week for their performance at Bryant's Ocean State Cup on April 4.
 
Sophomore Bendu Kamara (Pawtucket, R.I.), freshman Maire Scanlon (Rocky Hill, Conn.), sophomore Quiana Pezza (Cranston, R.I.) and freshman Naibel Noriega (Providence, R.I.) finished fourth in the 4x100m relay (49.28).
 
The Anchorwomen and Anchormen combined to finish fourth (seven teams) with a team score of 76.0 URI combined for 509.5 points to win the meet. RIC was the highest-finishing Div. III institution at the meet, trailing only three Div. I programs.
 
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Southern New Hampshire's Ed Daniels Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
