Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College officially dedicated its new track and field complex with a special ribbon cutting ceremony prior to the Rhode Island Interscholastic League's (RIIL) Middle School Track and Field Championship on Sunday, May 31.

Dr. Jack Warner each spoke to the crowd, which included 1,200 spectators and 600 middle school student-athletes from across the state, prior to the dedication.
A commemorative ribbon cutting ceremony was then held that featured many of the contractors who were involved in the design and construction of the facility, Gov. McKee, President Warner, RIC Head Men's Track and Field Coach Timothy Rudd, members of the RIIL and several of the competing student-athletes.
