Providence, R.I.--Junior Arianna DeThomas (Providence, R.I.) and sophomore Addison Hadlock (Littleton, N.H.) combined for a win at No. 2 doubles as Rhode Island College fell vs. Emerson, 7-0, at the RIC Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• DeThomas and Hadlock tied doubles action at one apiece before the Lions won at first doubles to secure the match's first point.
 
• Junior Emilia Houwers (Whitewater, Wisc.) put up a good fight in her singles match after missing the last contest for the Anchorwomen, but lost in a tiebreaker in both sets. 

• Senior Ivy Par (Pawtucket, R.I.) took her singles matches to three sets after splitting the first two.
 
• RIC, which lost, 5-2, at Salve Regina on Tuesday, suffered back-to-back losses for the first time since 2012, Head Coach Adam Spring's first season guiding the club.
