Elhadji Ndoye (Cranston, R.I.) recorded five saves as Rhode Island College fell vs. Coast Guard, 2-0, at Alumni Stadium on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bears scored early on as they made a nifty passing play into the Anchormen's defensive third in the fourth minute of action to go up, 1-0.
• RIC started to get its attack going in the 12th minute as sophomore midfielder
Randy Vang (Cranston, R.I.) had a shot on goal that was saved and minutes later classmate midfielder
Julian Orellana (Providence, R.I.) had his shot zoom just over the crossbar.
• Despite eight shots from the Anchormen, they would go into halftime still trailing, 1-0.
• The Anchormen nearly secured the equalizer in the 56th minute as junior midfielder
Nathan Capelo (Rumford, R.I.) ripped a scorching shot that rocketed off the right post and kept the hosts scoreless.
• Two minutes later the visitors were able to counterattack and capitalize with an insurance goal in the 58th minute.
• RIC found some life late within the last 10 minutes as shots from both Orellana and freshman midfielder
Logan Santos (North Providence, R.I.) were saved and blocked, respectively, in front of the net.
• Ndoye made some incredible saves, but it was not enough as he finished with five saves (2-2-1).

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East play at Southern Maine on Saturday, Sept. 26 (1 p.m.).
