
Freshman Connor Liebscher (Danielson, CT) tied for ninth place with a 77 to lead the Rhode Island College men's golf team to a fourth place finish at the 2017 Brett Williamson Invitational, hosted by Westfield State and played at the Tekoa Country Club on Tuesday.
THE BASICS
Rhode Island College (Team Score: 320) finished in 4th place (14 teams), while host Westfield State took home the team title (Team Score: 295).
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Mike Caparco (Johnston, RI) was tied for 17th (79), while sophomore Nathan Patterson (Conway, MA) finished in 22nd place (80).
• Junior Ryan Badeau (Woonsocket, RI) finished tied for 34th (84).
• Senior Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI) carded an 85 for a tie in 38th place.
BY THE NUMBERS
• The par-71 course measured 6,438 yards and the tournament featured 14 teams with 66 golfers.
WHO'S NEXT
Rhode Island College will compete at the Elms Blazers Invitational on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 8-9 (10 a.m.).
