Sutton, Mass.-Sophomore Nathan Patterson (Conway, MA) won medalist honors after capturing first place with a 71 to lead the Rhode Island College men's golf team to a fourth place finish at the 2018 Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational, hosted by Worcester State at Blackstone National Golf Club on Tuesday.

 

THE BASICS

• Rhode Island College finished in fourth place with a team score of 333 for the tournament. Nichols won the team title with a 315.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• RIC junior Ryan Badeau (Woonsocket, RI) finished tied for seventh with a 79.

• Junior Mike Caparco (Johnston, RI) carded an 86 and finished tied for 23rd place.

• RIC freshman Niko Kacavas (Manchester, NH) rounded out the Anchormen golfers, finishing in 34th place with a 97.

 

WHAT'S NEXT

• In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Johnson & Wales Spring Invitational on April 21-22.
